The Burny FLG series were only around for two short years, but the guitars produced in this time have absolutely gorgeous tops, used fantastic wood and were built to the highest quality by Terada. This FLG-90 is no exception to that, appears to be all original and in fantastic condition for its age.

The FLG-90 came with Fernandes Deluxe - Kluson style tuners, mahogany neck, rosewood board and a flame top. Body and neck are Mahogany and finished in Nitro Lacquer. The mahogany back on this guitar is one piece. Pickups are L-8001, which are an outstanding vintage style humbucker.

This guitar is dated December 1981 and is in outstanding condition and appears to be all original including its pickups and electronics. The guitar has been completely gone over and received a full setup which included adjusting relief (torsion rod), action, pickup height and intonation. The pots, switch and jack were cleaned, as was the fretboard which was also oiled. Nut relief was checked and nut slots cleaned, with slots for the high strings greased. Some frets were spot leveled, and then all frets were cleaned and polished. This guitar plays and sounds fantastic with no buzzing or dead spots anywhere on the neck. This guitar needs nothing.

The guitar comes with a non-Burny hard case, which I believe may be original to the guitar as its age and style is very similar to Burny cases at the time.

The 1980-81 Burny FLG's are fantastic examples of top vintage Japanese guitars, beautifully executed and wonderful instruments to play. The FLG-90 is easily one of my favorite vintage Japanese LP models as it gets everything right. These are very hard to find, especially in this condition.

This guitar is located in the US.
