The Super Real era version of the Peter Frampton three pickup Custom is somewhat unique compared to the Greco Frampton models before it and after in the Mint Collection era. Both before and after this was a 600/60 level model (¥60,000 original price), but in the Super Real era of 1980-81 this was an 800/80 level model with an original price of ¥80,000.

So what did you get for the extra ¥20,000? A Lacquer finish instead of Poly and real Mother of Pearl block fret markers. Fretboard is very nice Rosewood and it also has Klusson style Waffle Back tuners, which Greco reserved for its higher grade Customs.

The pickups for this model are three Maxon made U-2000 humbuckers. Pickups, pots and caps are all original. The guitar appears to be all original, but the pickup selector knob should be cream colored. I can swap a cream one and include the black if desired.

Condition wise the guitar has a number of chips and scratches which can be seen in the photos. Some chips where the wood was bare were touched up with black nitro. Middle pickup ring was glued where cracked in the middle.

The guitar has been completely gone through and received a full setup including adjusting the relief (torsion rod), action, intonation, pickup heights and tail piece height. Nut relief was checked and nut slots cleaned. Pots, jack and switch were all cleaned. Frets have been polished and the guitar itself cleaned. Plays and sounds great with no dead spots or buzzing anywhere on the neck.

The guitar is for sale and will include the case in the photos, which I believe may be original to the guitar, and has a cool period Maxon sticker on it.
