Greco's Super Real era guitars are widely acknowledged as some of the best flame top LP's to come out of Japan during its best years. Among the EGF models produced at this time, the EGF 1800 is the pinnacle of these flame top models, originally priced at ¥180,000 back in 1981. It is also the top of the four models to come with DRY Z pickups, which were only made for two short years.

As Greco's top LP model at the time, the woods chosen are especially nice, including its solid flame maple top, mahogany back and rosewood fretboard. At this time, Fujigen was still making guitars by hand and the 1800 would have been made by their top luthiers. The top, its burst and overall finish look fantastic.

This guitar appears to be all original and in fantastic condition. A very rare vintage guitar, just a year shy of being forty years old as I write this. The guitar has some special importance to me, as adding it to my collection I now have examples of each of the four Greco catalog models that came with DRY Z pickups.

An excellent example of a very rare Greco.
