Fernandes FSA-100 1979

Very Rare Non Catalog Model with Through Neck

Click on main image above for full size pictures

This a non-catalog model Fernandes FSA-100 semi-acoustic made in 1979.  What makes this model so unique is that rather than a set-neck like a typical 335, this guitar is a semi-acoustic with a through neck.  The neck runs from the headstock through the entire length of the guitar down to the strap pin.  The neck itself is a five-piece maple and mahogany laminate, with a rosewood fretboard and brass nut.

This model came in Brown Sunburst (FSA-100BS) and Cherry Red (FSA-100CR) finishes.  I’ve been lucky enough to find one in each color.  Pickups are L-104.  As the back of the headstock on these indicates, these were hand made and they are indeed beautifully made.

The guitar is beautifully made and finished in a gorgeous see through red.  The yellowing on the binding makes for a fantastic look.  The guitar appears to be all original, including its original hard case.  Pickups   are L-104.
