Tokai LS-100 Love Rock - 1982
Amazingly clean and original 1982 Tokai LS-100 is truly a collector quality Tokai.
The Tokai LS-100 is one of the higher grade Les Paul copies produced by Tokai in the golden age of Japanese guitars. The top on this guitar is spectacular, with the flamed maple having an intense 3D appearance. It is a stunning guitar.
The LS-100 came with fret edge binding, one piece mahogany neck, one piece mahogany back and nitro cellulose lacquer finish. Stepping up in the product line, it is the first of the high grade models that includes DiMarzio PAF pickups.
This guitar had a new bone nut made by a master luthier, who also leveled/crowned/polished the frets, and did a complete setup. When I got the guitar the knob on the pickup selector was cracked, which I replaced. Otherwise this guitar appears to be all original and includes its original Tokai hard shell case with key and truss rod wrench.
This guitar needs nothing and plays beautifully.
Pictures speak as to the condition, which is exceptional for a 36 year old vintage guitar from Japan. True collector quality piece that is a pleasure to play.
