Vintage Tokai Love Rock LS-80 GT (Gold Top) made in1980.

The LS-80 is one of the most sought after Tokai models as it's original 80,000 Yen price got you a lacquer finish and one piece mahogany back. This guitar also has a one piece mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, maple cap and its original Gotoh PAF humbuckers. These humbuckers have removable covers held on with screws, so you can take them off if you prefer your pickups uncovered. Last one I had were zebras, but haven't checked this guitar.  

Condition wise this guitar is in really good shape overall, but has definitely been played over the past 38 years, so there are quite a few dings and scratches as can be seen in the photos with some discoloration on the bass side above the lower bout. Some of the screws have been replaced (pickup rings and back covers) and the bottom edge of the headstock logo inlay is raised. All electronics appear to be original and work fine. Frets are in excellent shape, with a fresh level, crown and polish (pics taken before this), so plays great.  

If you have been looking for a higher end Tokai, or a vintage gold top in general that has some honest wear this LS-80 is a great choice and ready for the next 38 years of play.
 

Comes with a vintage soft case, likely its original.
