FOR SALE

For Tokai Strats the ST-80 is one of the most desirable, as this Springy Sound model is a faithful copy of a 1954 Stratocaster and one of Tokai’s premium models.

The ST-80 features a fantastic large soft-V neck profile made from one-piece rock maple, a two-piece center seam Sen body and beautiful nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Pickups used on this model are Tokai’s E stamped ‘ST Vintage’, which were wound to the same specs as original Strat pickups.

The hardware is nickel finish, including the early style round string tree and Tokai made Kluson style tuners. Tremolo block is steel.

This guitar has aged beautifully, with plenty of honest play wear and over forty years of aging. Finish is Tokai’s YS, yellow sunburst, their three-tone sunburst which you can see how the nitro has aged looking at pics of the body with pickguard removed.

Condition wise, this guitar has lots of dings, bumps, scratches and play wear one would expect to see on a vintage guitar, but it plays, sounds and feels fantastic. It has had a full setup and been gone through completely. Frets received a fresh level, crown and polish, there is no buzzing or dead spots anywhere on the neck.

The guitar is all original except for reproduction decals on the headstock and two pots needed to be changed.

This is one of Tokai’s top models with over forty years of honest aging and one of the closest experiences you can get to an actual 1954 Stratocaster.

The guitar will come with a period non-original hard case.
