1982 Greco EG59-100 Transition Model
SOLD

Beautiful Greco EG59-100 with a very low 1982 serial number (2 0083) with Super Real on the headstock and built to Mint Collection specs including a long tenon and top of the line DRY 1982 pickups.  This guitar's lacquer is aging beautifully, taking on an amber glow and darkening its cherry sunburst finish.  The top on this guitar is especially nice with beautiful 3D flames across the body and pronounced grain running its length.  The plastics all appear original and have aged nicely.  Neck is one piece mahogany with no wings on the headstock, rosewood finger board and fret edge binding.  A new bone nut has just been added and frets were leveled, crowned and polished.  Body is mahogany with a maple cap and veneer flame top as is specified in a EG59-100.

Guitar appears to be all original and in excellent overall condition, with nicks, chips and dings that show that this guitar has been played over its 36 plus years.  Pictures should provide a good idea as to its condition.  It plays and sounds fantastic.

This is a true vintage guitar made at what is considered the peak of the golden age of Made in Japan guitars by one of the top builders, Fujigen.  The 59 in EG59-100 represents that this was built as a copy to a '59 Les Paul including its neck profile and the 100 indicates the original price of 100,000 Yen in 1982, making this a high grade model.

If you are looking for a high grade vintage Greco Les Paul copy, you won't be disappointed, this is a great guitar that needs nothing.
