Momose MST1 FM PRM BLACK - 2015
Premium Model Made for Guitar Manufacturer Show
There were only six of this model made specifically for the 2015 Sound Messe in Osaka Japan which is a musical instrument show for manufacturers. As such, it was built to premium specs including a Flame Maple neck, Alder body (likely one-piece), Full Lacquer finish, Gotoh locking tuners and Mojotone Lee Dickson Black-E pickups. These are all above standard MST1 specs. Nut is oiled bone and bridge is Gotoh with steel block and saddles.
The Mojotone pickups are pretty special as well. Lee Dickson was Eric Clapton's primary guitar tech for over 30 years. These pickups are the result of his work with Mojotone to reproduce the iconic sound of Clapton's Blackie Strat, which this Momose is a nod to. They do indeed capture the sound of that guitar and there's a video from Mojotone at the bottom of this page so you can here them for yourself.
Momose is a high end Japanese manufacturer whose guitars are handmade (No CNC), built using the same techniques as the vintage originals they are based on. Momose quality is second to none and this is a special, limited run model made specifically to exhibit at Sound Messe. Pickguard still has its protective film on it.
